I didn’t love this assignment. When I was thinking about it at first I thought it would be cool, but I never seemed to find the right stuff. There always seemed to be something else, the lighting was bad, I had other homework, or I was just not feeling it. Taking pictures on Saturday, I was really gloomy, and didn’t feel like putting the extra work in, and as I edited them I could tell. I liked the way the fire hydrant turned out, even though it looks like crap without edits, I like the shadow that was added, and the brighter color. I also liked the red ball things, I thought they turned out well. I have decided that I really like the Nature Park, and It is only going to get prettier as spring comes on more. I can’t wait.

  1. Liesl, these pictures are amazing! My two favorites are the Fire Hydrant and the Hershey Kiss. On the Fire Hydrant I really like the shadow that was added, and the brighter color as well. On the Hershey Kiss photo, I like how the actual Hershey Kiss and the log it is on is in focus, but the background isn’t. That makes it stand out more, which is really neat. Good job.

  3. I agree. The fire hydrant was the best one of the four for me. I thought the way the light hits the hydrant in a way that it almost looks wet. The shadow really emphasized the red. The only thing I could think of was in the Hershey’s Kiss picture that you reversed it so that there was more space on the left than the right, because the wrapper should draw my eyes to the left but I am first looking at the space on the right. Just a thought. Cool pictures!
